Atlas Root

Reality Mechanics is the discipline of keeping relation traceable as order. It begins from a working postulate:

Relation holds.
Order carries.
Trace places.

The Atlas is the dependency-ordered body produced through that discipline. It is the worked surface through which the relation-order-trace practice becomes inspectable.

It is not a glossary.

It is not a wiki.

It is not a philosophy.

It is not a taxonomy.

It is a tended surface for order. Terms are handles; order is what they handle. Its purpose is to preserve dependency order so that humans and AI can participate within relation rather than only describe it.

The Atlas is not the authority-object. The relation-order-trace practice is what must remain repeatable: place the term, trace what holds it, test what it carries, prune where it drifts, and correct what no longer remains answerable.

Root Dependency Order

Relation grounds. Two conditions arise from it: Connection (relation holding between distinguishable conditions) and Asymmetry (relation uneven enough for distinction to begin). Posture is connection held with orientation, depending on both.

Dependency spine:

Posture read (a reading of the spine, not a separate dependency chain or root postulate):

Connection → Posture → Structure → Clear → Clean

The posture read names how order can become workable when followed through the dependency spine. It does not replace the spine or the working postulate; it shows one way to enter and test them.

Everything in the Atlas must ultimately remain answerable to this working root. Resolution closes a condition at its scope without ending wider relation; it is not a universal prerequisite for carrying.

Orders as Modes of Carrying

First      order becomes locatable through hold / carry / place
Second     carried order is enacted as carrying, through coupling and participation
Third      participating carrying becomes organised and nested
Higher     organised carrying enters its own carrying
Practice   a participant follows trace through retracing

An order changes where carrying takes on a new structural role. A crossing is the passage through which that change occurs.

Entering the Atlas

• Trace backward: follow a term through the prior conditions that must already hold.
• Carry forward: move only what can be retraced.
• Preserve dependency order: never make a downstream term primitive in place of what holds it.
