04 Higher Order / Higher Learning
Higher Learning
Higher Learning names learning where participation becomes able to change its own future carrying through conscious or retraceable self-correction.
Higher Learning is not all learning. Organic learning can occur wherever participation adjusts through recurrence, feedback, instinct, repair, or compatible uptake. Higher Learning becomes available where the learning condition returns into its own carrying and can alter how future learning proceeds.
Trace
- Learning supplies compatible uptake of what becomes readable.
- Recursion supplies nested organisation returning into its own carrying.
- Consciousness supplies the read becoming available within participation.
- Retrace supplies recovery of the dependency path being changed.
- Self-Regulation supplies adjustment of future carrying.
Read
Higher Learning becomes recognisable where a participant can notice how it is carrying a read, recover enough of the path that produced it, and adjust future participation without losing bearing.
Structural Role
Higher Learning is a higher-order learning condition. It distinguishes conscious or retraceable self-correction from lower-order learning by recurrence, uptake, instinct, or environmental feedback.
