01 First Order/Asymmetry Conditions/Strained Asymmetry
Strained Asymmetry
Strained asymmetry names bounded asymmetry under contrast. Where bounded asymmetry names localised unevenness available for distinction, strained asymmetry names that same condition under pressure — held at a boundary where contrast is present but not yet resolved. It does not yet name bearing, carrying, or outcome. It names the condition through which bounded asymmetry becomes consequential.

Strained asymmetry becomes recognisable where bounded asymmetry can be read as under contrast — where the localised unevenness is present enough that something must either hold or resolve.
