02 Second Order/Presence Conditions/Produced Distinctions/Coherence
Coherence
Coherence names compatible patterns holding together. Where pattern names readable recurrence and compatibility names the condition through which carrying remains supportable, coherence names the condition through which multiple patterns hold together without losing their individual readability. Coherence does not name agreement, unity, or sameness; it names patterns that can be read as compatible across a scope.

Coherence becomes recognisable where multiple patterns can be read as holding together — where what recurs across a scope remains compatible rather than collapsing into disorder.
