Face

Face names the boundary-surface condition through which carrying becomes answerable to read. It is continuity becoming locally answerable.

Face is also where carrying becomes answerable to response. Once carrying has a face, it can be met, trusted, misread, cared for, controlled, harmed, repaired, or recognised at a local boundary.

Face bridges truth and care. Truth requires carried reality to become answerable to read; care requires carried reality to become answerable to response. Face is the local exposure where both become possible.

Surface presents. Face answers. Surface is the presenting side of a condition; face is the return condition through which what is carried can become answerable to a reader.

Places

Face places the boundary-surface condition through which carrying becomes answerable to read.

Holds

Face is held by Boundary, Surface, Carrying, Return, and Readability. Boundary must locate distinction, surface must present, carrying must continue, and return must be possible before a face can answer back as read.

Pairs

No lateral pair is required at this placement. Face names a synthesis condition: carrying, boundary, surface, return, and readability held together as answerable presentation.

Traces

Nests

Face nests where carried trace reaches a boundary-surface through which inside and outside become mutually accountable. It can appear in physical, relational, cognitive, architectural, textual, cinematic, or technological reads.

Reads

Face becomes readable where carrying can return through a located surface as read, or where non-return becomes readable as still-effective carrying.

A face can be fixed or dynamic. In a fountain, the face of the water is not separate from the flow; it is the local condition where continuous carrying becomes answerable to light, gravity, air, and the reader's position.

In lithography, cinema, and videotape, the carried trace does not become image merely by existing. It becomes readable when the prepared face, reader, light, head, projection, or translation condition allows carrying to return as presentation.

Care, trust, repair, control, harm, and recognition all become possible where carrying has become locally answerable enough to be met.

In relation, a face is where what is carried can answer back. When carrying continues but cannot answer back through the current read condition, it may remain invisible, shaded, terminal, or hidden depending on the structure of non-return.

Carries

Face carries no further public branch at this scope.
