Strain
Strain names available distinction under contrast. Where availability names the condition under which distinction can present, strain names the same distinction held under pressure — present and contrasted without yet being resolved. Strain does not yet name bearing, carrying, or outcome. It names the contrasted condition that can become held or resolved.
